There is power in these three simple “life changing” principles. Memorize them, meditate on them, and by all means implement them on a daily basis. These actions will make a huge difference in your life.
“It’s not hard to make decisions when you know what your values are” – Roy Disney
I must all determine for myself what my “why” is for life, thus giving me rock solid values on which to base all of life’s actions and decisions. What is God’s mission for me and what is that unique and powerful impact that I can have on the world? Simply put, what is most important to me. Once determined… the “why” of my life becomes my soul purpose and I must not let anyone or anything stand in the way of my pursuit to be the greatest at my “why”.
“Great things come to those who wait!”
The power of delayed gratification is an essential ingredient to reaching my goals. Do not let the world and its fast paced traps woo me into the “me, me, me, … now, now, now” trap of instant gratification. No true rewards come without disciplined planning, persistence, hustle, and hard work. Whether it be saving now to spend later, choosing healthy to get energy later, or putting up with a job to help boost my career later – delayed gratification can bring about tremendous returns while also developing my willpower.
Pursue Disciplined Accountability
“Improve my life one thing at a time”
There is magic in this principle: “When I take 100 percent responsibility for holding myself accountable, my performance will improve, my relationships will flourish, my market value will soar, people’s respect for me will skyrocket, I will be a great example for others to follow, and my self-esteem will grow.” When I hold myself accountable to doing the things I know I should do, I will distinguish myself from the “crowd” in so many ways. Advancement in life both personally or professionally involves simply holding myself accountable for my actions, responsibilities, and goals. Think about it… and do it!
