Eliminate clicks… that is one of my primary goals in life. The click of the mouse at first glance appears to be an extremely simple and routine task, but in reality the accumulation of mouse clicks during the day represents a high level of MANUAL work that I am having to do in order to manage a process or get a job done.
In today’s article we explore one simple method for eliminating a few of those clicks through the use of a tool called IFTTT found at www.ifttt.com. IFTTT is an abbreviation of “If This Then That”… how can it get much more simple than that.
I encourage you to explore the site and follow these five easy steps to get started using the tool today:
- create an IFTTT account
- explore the site for recipes that might fit a simple task you would like to automate – for example, “If I post a picture on Instagram, save the photo to Dropbox”
- select one recipe that someone else has shared and customize it for your need
- save the recipe to your account and activate it – I guarantee you it will save you time in the long run
- enjoy the benefits of automating even the simplest of tasks
It’s that easy, and I encourage you to give it a try today.
